Summary
The JF900 series intelligent valve positioners are designed for use with pneumatic actuators. They receive a 4–20 mA DC current signal from the control system as the setpoint for valve position, while simultaneously acquiring the actual valve position from a position sensor. These two signals are processed by control software to regulate the pneumatic actuator’s air intake and exhaust, thereby driving the valve to its commanded setpoint.
