Summary
The JF500 series intelligent valve positioners are designed for use with pneumatic actuators. They receive a 4–20 mA DC current signal from the control system as the setpoint for valve position, while simultaneously acquiring the actual valve position from a position sensor. The control software processes these two signals to regulate the pneumatic actuator’s air intake and exhaust, thereby driving the valve to its commanded setpoint.
